It seems like everywhere I turn there's a Lady Slipper Orchid to greet me. Social media, random non-plant related blog posts...they are everywhere.
One part freaky (read: diandrous) one part fabulous, these orchids command a double take. Named for that little front pouch "slipper" on the flower (it actually catches insects to assist in pollination), these sassy creatures are definitely a conversation starter. Not to bring it up but considering Valentine's Day is just around the corner, you may flirt with a sensual Lady Slipper as the gift for your lover (or yourself!) to set the mood. #itsplantporn
